Subject: UNESCO World Reports
Dear Colleagues,
Every year UNESCO publishes a World Report on a major issue. The 2005 report "Towards Knowledge Societies" deals with language issues at various points, and has a useful section entitled "Local and indigenous knowledge, linguistic diversity and knowledge societies". It is available in pdf format in six languages from http://portal.unesco.org/ci/en/ev.php-URL_ID=20507&URL_DO=DO_TOPIC&URL_SECTION=201.html
The 2007 World Report will be on Cultural Diversity.
